Nub Tso-na Pata (lake) falls under Uesu Gewog in Haa. There are several routes towards the lake via Jo-La, Tali-La, Meri-puensum, Norbugang under Sama Gewog and Chuzang-Kha. It is a two days trek from any of these routes to reach the sacred lake.
This trek starts not far from Haa town and takes an easterly direction on the border close to India, China and Bhutan border. The trek offers beautiful view of the world’s third highest peak, Mt. Kanchenjunga at 8586 mts. The highlight is the lake Sacred Tsonapata Lake, views of Kanchenjunga and Chomolhari, camp at nomadic yak herders camp, beautiful wild flowers in spring. Also due to the plains in the south, it offers beautiful golden sunrays at the sunset. The trek is very relaxing and doesn’t require much of climbing.
